According to the Gay Travel website Gaycities.com, Tel Aviv is by far the favorite travel destination for the worldwide gay community. Due to the democratic tradition of Israel, the GLBT community in Israel enjoys freedom as in no other country in the middle east and Tel Aviv is considered as a safe haven in the region for people with GLBT orientation. The mayor of Tel Aviv, Mr Ron Huldayi i wrote on its Facebook page: ` This is a free city in which everyone can be proud on who he is.
